I started studying this form of foot therapy and massage with P. Vijayan, a traditional vaidya (physician) in Kerala in 2001. He is a well known practitioner in and around Trivandrum, Kerala, he is the 68th generation in his family to practise this traditional form of medicine and he started learning the science from his grandfather when he was only 8 years old !

I was the first Western student to learn this style of foot massage and I am one of the few students to study the Vaidya and Nadi Science. This science was orally transmitted to me in the form of Old Tamil poems.
