Massage & Treatment

During a massage and treatment session special tri-doshic medicinal oil is first applied all over the body. The body is then thoroughly massaged using my (the practitioners) feet. If required, treatments (body manipulations) are administered during the massage. At the end of the session, the head and face are gently massaged using another special type of oil. Each session lasts about 1½ hours.

I prepare the tri-doshic massage oil using medicinal plants that originate from South India. The medicinal properties of the oil are absorbed through the skin during the massage.

Benefits

This traditional form of Ayurvedic foot massage and treatment works predominately on the nervous system and on the subtle nadi (prana/energy) systems of the body. It can give a wide range of long lasting results. For example, it can help to alleviate common aliments such as back pain, joint problems, muscle pain, varicose veins, stress, tension and headaches.
