Traditional Ayurvedic Foot Massage

This unique type of massage originates from South Kerala. It is called CHAVITTI THIRUMAL - also known as chavutti thirumal. During a massage session a special tri-doshic medicinal oil is first applied all over the body. The body is then deeply and thoroughly massaged using my feet. At the end of the session, the head and face are more gently massaged using another special type of oil. If required, treatments (body manipulations) are administered during the massage.

This massage can give a wide range of long lasting benefits; it can help to alleviate common aliments such as back pain, joint and muscle pain, varicose veins, stress, tension and headaches.

One and a half hour session : £45

Medicated Steam Bath

Steam and oil are the two main treatment media employed in Ayurveda. In Ayurveda, the head and body are not usually heated or 'steamed' together, hence the use of a steam box where the head protrudes out of the top of the box. A steam bath taken after a massage assists in deeper absorption of the medicinal oil into the body as well as being relaxing and cleansing.

10 minutes after a massage : £3 extra
